Lt. Gov. Antonio Delgado ended his primary challenge against Gov. Kathy Hochul after failing to secure the Democratic Party designation and trailing by 53 points in polls. He will continue serving as lieutenant governor. His running mate India Walton also dropped out. Delgado was originally appointed to the position by Hochul in 2022.
